The Cinderella Project hosts an annual Dress Giveaway each spring at which any high school junior or senior can select a prom dress free of charge. The mission of The Cinderella Project is to support local high school girls with resources that may not exist to them otherwise, and to instill confidence, self-esteem, and the importance of community service. This event is open to students from any school, and is not limited to students from Ouachita Parish or even Louisiana. The only requirements are that the student be either a junior or senior in high school and provide proof of enrollment (either a school ID or a letter from a school official).
The 2021 annual Dress Giveaway will be held on March 6, 2021 at the Junior League of Monroe – 2811 Cameron Street. Due to Covid-19, students who intend to participate will need to register for a designated time here. Additionally, please note that students will not be permitted to try on dresses. It is highly recommended that students measure their bust, waist, and hips prior to the event and bring those measurements with them.
