Classroom Mini-Grants

The Junior League of Monroe, in partnership with the renewable energy company, Drax, is proud to offer Classroom Mini-Grants for our local teachers, librarians, students, and schools. The grant funding has provided local educators with ample opportunities, materials, and supplies for classroom projects for many years.  We are thankful for Drax partnering with us to provide this amazing opportunity to continue to impact young lives in our community.

Teachers may be awarded up to $500 from the program. The grants will be awarded in the Fall of this school year to ensure that implementation of the project will occur during the current 2022-2023 school year. We encourage applications from all areas of PreK-12 education, including general education, special education, critical thinking, healthy living, music, physical education, art, STEM, and any other specialized areas that work directly with the children in our community.

This year, the mini-grant applications will be completed digitally https://bit.ly/JLM-MiniGrantApp. The deadline for mini-grant application submissions is Friday, October 6, 2023 at 5:00 pm.

Only applications submitted through the online application form will be considered. Grant recipients will be notified by Friday, October 20th via email. A reception for grant recipients will tentatively be held at the Junior League house (2811 Cameron St, Monroe) on the evening of Thursday, November 16th.
