This seminar will provide skills and information about grant writing that can be used for a number of grant programs, including those provided by the Junior League of Monroe! Each year, we award mini-grants to educators in Ouachita Parish. We also annually award at least one Endowment Grant to a nonprofit organization, and we are still accepting applications for our 2020 Endowment Grants! Sarah Johnson, MBA, CFRE has over 20 years of experience in preparing successful grant applications for nonprofits throughout the region. One of fewer than 75 CFRE-credentialed development professionals in the state, she is a specialist in the field of nonprofit funding, grant writing, and grants management. In addition to the rigorous CFRE designation (since 2010), she also holds the Grants Management Certificate Program designation from Management Concepts (2013) and the Certified Fundraising Manager (CFM) designation from Indiana Univ./PUI Fundraising School (2008). She has secured grant funds for our region from nearly every federal department as well as a number of state and foundation grant programs. She has served as a presenter on grant writing and successful grantsmanship at federal, state, and local workshops. In addition to maintaining a busy consulting practice, she also serves as Director of the HOME Coalition, the federally designated Continuum of Care organization coordinating homeless services throughout Northeast Louisiana.
